Dear OVV Friends and Family,
As we enter 2022, the halfway mark in the academic world, I find myself reflecting on the year that lies ahead. None of us thought we would still be modifying how we function because of the pandemic. And yet, here we are. We are tired, but we have persevered.
It seems covid is not finished with us. But I’m certain that it will not beat us. Even as we make the necessary adjustments to ensure the safety of our community, we remain devoted to our mission. Our greatest success is that we continue to provide onsite learning to our children.
And the children have risen to the occasion. It delights me to report that, of all Ohio Valley Voices’ community members, they seem to be the most flexible and well-adjusted to pandemic life. They arrive at school each day eager to interact with their friends and learn how to listen and talk. Their undaunted enthusiasm can be an inspiration to us all!
I anticipate that we will continue to modify things this school year and plan for a more typical arrangement next school year. I’m certain that, through it all, no matter what new challenges arise, we will support each other with the same love and solidarity we have shown so far.
