Dear Friends of OVV,
We’re excited to welcome our children and staff back from spring break! Special Friends Day, held on April 4th, was a wonderful opportunity for OVV families and friends to get a glimpse into the meaningful work our children do each day as they grow into confident communicators. The children were thrilled to have their loved ones visit. They proudly shared their accomplishments and introduced their teachers to their special guests. It’s always heartwarming to see the enthusiasm and love our children have for OVV.
Graduation is just around the corner! This is such a meaningful time as we celebrate the incredible progress our students have made. We are honored to recognize those who are ready to transition to their next educational journey in either private or public schools. We hope you’ll join us for this special celebration. Graduation is always a bittersweet moment—while we are proud of all our graduates, we will truly miss them and their families.
Our 25th Anniversary Gala was on March 1st at the Hyatt Regency, it was a lovely evening with over 450 generous supporters and sponsors. It was such an honor to meet so many friends of Ohio Valley Voices. The highlights of my evening were to honor Bob Trenkamp as our Distinguished Volunteer and Sophie Blessing as our Distinguished Alumni. Bob is a dear friend and has been a fierce leader and advocate of OVV for over 20 years. Sophie Blessing, a 2007 OVV graduate, has grown into an amazing, young woman who followed her dream and is becoming an Audiologist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We are so proud to see her successfully give back to her community and OVV.
Happy Spring! – Maria Sentelik
