Dear OVV Friends and Family,
“If you give a smile, you get a smile.”
That’s our new motto at Ohio Valley Voices. I’m thrilled to announce that, for the first time since March of 2020, our organization is officially mask-free. Hurray! I can’t overstate how good it feels to walk through the hallways of OVV and see the lovely, smiling faces of our students and staff members.
Of course, the covid situation remains in flux, and we may very well have to reinstate mask use at some point in the future, but for now our community is relishing the chance to do what we do best—listen, speak, and laugh—in plain sight. After being hidden behind masks for two years, this pivot is such a welcome injection of positivity. The feeling of renewed hope among our students and staff is palpable!
Going mask-free couldn’t have come at a better time. We are just two weeks away from spring break, and there is even a hint of warm spring weather in the air. As the change of seasons approaches, we have begun planning ahead to our 2022 graduation as well as our 2022-2023 academic year. There’s so much to look forward to at OVV; I can’t help feeling we are on the brink of an exciting new chapter.
Stay tuned for announcements regarding our programs and fundraising events, including the first-ever OVV Pickleball Tournament on May 1st. In the meantime, we encourage all of our community members to schedule a tour and pay us a visit. We’ve missed seeing your wonderful faces!
