Dear OVV Friends and Family,
Happy belated Fourth of July! I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend and have been enjoying your summer break so far.
Last week, OVV finished Summer School. With the program behind us, our staff is enjoying the opportunity to slow down and catch our collective breath before the 2022-2023 academic year begins in August. As the new year approaches, we’re using the downtime to plan and strategize. We have a number of changes in the works and can’t wait to share them with our families and children.
I’m thrilled to announce that in August we are also breaking ground on our Loveland campus. That’s right, we are renovating and expanding! The groundbreaking will mark the official start to our “Silence to Speech” Campaign, a fundraising initiative geared toward expanding OVV and creating an endowment for future generations of OVV learners. “Silence to Speech” is built around a bold but simple vision: to expand Ohio Valley Voices so that every child who is deaf or hard of hearing in the Greater Cincinnati area can benefit from our life-changing services. Right now, our program is at capacity. With your continued generosity, we hope to increase that capacity and make the “Silence to Speech” vision a reality. Please help us get there!
For more info about “Silence to Speech,” visit our campaign webpage or contact me directly. And, in the meantime, stay tuned for additional campaign-related news and updates. We are excited to kick off this next chapter of the Ohio Valley Voices story with you, and we are so grateful for your support along the way.
Sincerely,
Maria
