Dear OVV Friends and Family,
Graduation is behind us, and summer is officially here!
Just a few weeks ago, we held our 2022 graduation ceremony. The event was the first Ohio Valley Voices graduation open to the public since the start of the pandemic and a truly joyous occasion. After years of social distancing, I relished having so many members of the OVV community on our campus for this important milestone. It’s not an exaggeration to say that it felt like a homecoming.
Most of all, I loved seeing and hearing our six graduates deliver their speeches. To witness them speak about their time at OVV and their future plans before thanking the family members, friends, and teachers was truly inspiring to me and everyone in attendance. I can’t imagine a more perfect conclusion to the school year—or a more fitting summation of our organization’s mission.
Having sent our 2022 grads off with love, it’s time to look ahead. OVV Summer School, which runs June 6th-July 1st, offers children enrolled in our program the chance to continue their oral education in a more relaxed atmosphere. By alternating between therapy sessions and fun activities, the children can experience all the joy of summer vacation while still developing their language skills.
Playful and productive in equal measure, OVV Summer School epitomizes our belief that learning should be an adventure. As we wrap up another year and begin a new season, we would be remiss not to thank you, our supporters, for making that adventure possible.
So, on behalf of our children and staff, thank you for your support and have a great summer!
