Dear Ohio Valley Voices Friends and Family,
May marks the end of the 2020-2021 academic year. In just a few weeks’ time, on Thursday, May 27th, eight children will graduate from our program while the rest will commence summer break.
I couldn’t be prouder of our graduates. Together, these young superstars—Phoenix, Liam, Jace, Preston, Chase, Brindle, Pia, and Evie—embody the very best of Ohio Valley Voices. I will certainly miss seeing their faces and hearing their beautiful, expressive voices in our hallways. Yet, even after leaving our program, they will remain lifelong members of the OVV family.
And what a family it is! Take for instance Cecilia Wilhelmy, subject of this month’s student spotlight, who will carry the OVV legacy overseas when she begins her coursework at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid in the fall, or Dr. Tom Fischer, subject of the supporter spotlight, who contributes his wisdom as both a doctor and parent of a child who is deaf to the Board of Trustees and Development Committee.
Of course, Cecilia and Tom are just two of the many remarkable individuals who comprise the Ohio Valley Voices family. To the rest of you who have dedicated your time, energy, and resources to making 2020-2021 a success, thank you! You have given our children the greatest gifts of all—a voice and a future.
Have a fun, safe, and relaxing summer! You’ve earned it!
